Students reportedly remained trapped aboard the stopped Calaveras Unified School District bus for nearly an hour as the situation outside grew increasingly volatile. By the time the confrontation ended, children were climbing through windows, parents were demanding access to their kids, and one adult had allegedly smashed glass while trying to intervene.
The disturbing incident unfolded on Highway 49 near Russell Road after a student reportedly attempted to climb out of a bus window before the vehicle had fully stopped.
