Schumer Caves — Senate Passes Funding Bill 90-6

WASHINGTON — After months of bitter partisan warfare on Capitol Hill, Senate Democrats joined Republicans in overwhelming numbers over the weekend to advance a temporary spending package designed to keep Washington running beyond the 2026 midterm elections.

The Senate voted 90-6 on Saturday to approve a continuing resolution that would maintain federal funding through Dec. 11, effectively pushing the next major shutdown showdown until after voters head to the polls.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) voted “present.”
