The United States military has released newly declassified footage showcasing its latest wave of precision strikes against Iran, offering a closer look at what officials describe as a decisive response to Tehran’s renewed aggression in one of the world’s most strategically important waterways.
According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), American forces carried out a large-scale operation on Tuesday, striking more than 80 Iranian military targets after Iran launched attacks against commercial vessels traveling through the Strait of Hormuz. The operation marks another major escalation following Tehran’s actions, which U.S. officials say directly violated the recently established ceasefire.
The latest confrontation began after Iranian forces targeted three commercial ships navigating the vital shipping lane. Among the vessels reportedly attacked were a Marshall Islands-flagged tanker, a Saudi Arabia-flagged tanker, and a Liberian-flagged commercial ship. Earlier reports also indicated that a Qatari natural gas vessel was struck during the incident, raising fresh concerns over the security of one of the world’s busiest energy corridors.
