Nancy Guthrie Case: Disturbing Message Under Review

A disturbing development has emerged in the high-profile disappearance case involving Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of NBC “Today” host Savannah Guthrie, after law enforcement sources revealed that a ransom note allegedly sent by kidnappers claims the elderly woman is dead.

According to reporting from CNN, multiple ransom communications were sent to media outlets beginning in February—the same month Nancy Guthrie was allegedly taken from her home in Tucson, Arizona. While these messages circulated quietly for months, their existence was only publicly revealed on Monday.

One of the earliest notes reportedly demanded millions of dollars in ransom money in exchange for her safe return. However, a later message escalated the mystery and horror surrounding the case, stating that Nancy Guthrie had died while being held captive.
