Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is once again drawing attention after appearing at the opening ceremony of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.
The event brought together some of the biggest names in Democratic politics. Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama hosted the celebration as former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Joe Biden joined the festivities. Several former first ladies and high-profile celebrities were also in attendance as the long-awaited Obama Presidential Center prepared to open its doors to the public.
But while organizers hoped the spotlight would remain on the new presidential center, many observers quickly focused on something else entirely: Hillary Clinton’s appearance.
Video from the event showed Hillary Clinton walking onto the stage alongside former President Bill Clinton as the crowd applauded. However, social media users immediately began commenting on what appeared to be unusually heavy clothing for a mild June afternoon in Chicago.
Weather reports indicated temperatures reached the low 70s on Thursday. Despite the comfortable conditions, Clinton appeared bundled up in a dark coat and scarf while many other attendees were dressed much more lightly.
