The comment has since become one of the most controversial resurfaced posts attributed to Platner as he mounts a bid for the U.S. Senate, with critics arguing it shows a troubling lack of empathy in response to a life-threatening situation involving a teenager.

But the scrutiny does not stop there. Additional resurfaced posts from various years have intensified questions about his online history and judgment.

In one 2021 exchange involving a discussion about adult entertainers, Platner reportedly responded to a user suggestion that pornography performers should be honored like military veterans. His alleged reply read:

“Thank you for your cervix.”

Separately, reports have also pointed to a Kik messaging profile allegedly associated with Platner that included a partially nude photograph of himself, further fueling criticism over his conduct online.

Reacting to the growing controversy, Maine State House Minority Leader Billy Bob Faulkingham did not hold back in his assessment.

“Graham Platner is clearly a person with deep and disturbing psychological issues that predate his military service and continue to this day,” Faulkingham told The Post.

Platner has also previously faced backlash for a 2017 Reddit post in which he made an explicit and crude reference involving himself in a portable toilet scenario. The post, which has circulated again amid the current controversy, reads:

“I still have to jerk off every time I sit in a portashi–er….that blue water smell conditioned me,” the Democrat posted.

Another resurfaced incident dates back to commentary on a 2014 Reddit thread involving footage posted in the r/combatfootage community. The video reportedly showed Hamas militants attacking Israeli soldiers and attempting to abduct one of them during combat.

Using the same “P-Hustle” account, Platner allegedly commented:

“Looks like an all around well executed and successful small unit raid to me.”

In yet another widely circulated post, Platner is accused of targeting a U.S. service member, Pfc. Ted Daniels, after viewing helmet camera footage from 2012 showing Daniels under Taliban fire. Daniels survived the attack despite being shot multiple times.

In that thread, Platner allegedly wrote:

“Dumb motherf–ker didn’t deserve to live. At least his stupidity and fat a– wheezing are available for all future infantrymen to witness and hold in contempt,” Platner wrote in a 2019 thread.

The resurfaced material has reignited scrutiny over Platner’s digital footprint at a critical moment in his campaign. Opponents say the posts raise serious questions about temperament, judgment, and suitability for federal office, while supporters have largely not yet issued a comprehensive public response addressing each allegation in detail.

As the 2026 Senate race in Maine begins to take shape, the controversy surrounding Platner’s online history is expected to remain a major flashpoint, with political observers watching closely to see whether the candidate addresses the posts directly or faces continued pressure from opponents.
