AOC Compared Herself to Lincoln – Seriously?

A hallway exchange on Capitol Hill has suddenly turned into a flashpoint in the culture war, after Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made a remark that critics say reflects a broader effort to reinterpret American history through a modern political lens.

The moment unfolded when a reporter from TMZ approached the New York congresswoman with a straightforward question: which milestone would come first in the United States, a female president or a gay president?

“Well, we don’t know if we’ve already had a gay president to be honest with you,” Ocasio-Cortez told the reporter.

“I think there are chances that maybe we have but I don’t know,” she continued.

The congresswoman later shared the clip herself, adding the caption, “This was fun.”
