Multiple Noncitizens ARRESTED in Voter Fraud Crackdown

Federal prosecutors in New Jersey have announced a sweeping set of criminal charges against four noncitizens accused of unlawfully participating in U.S. federal elections and later allegedly lying during the naturalization process to conceal their actions.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey confirmed Friday that the individuals were charged through separate criminal complaints. Each case involves allegations tied to illegal voting activity and false statements made under oath during immigration proceedings.

According to officials, the cases were developed through the District of New Jersey’s Election Integrity Task Force, a coordinated effort between federal law enforcement agencies focused specifically on investigating election-related violations and safeguarding voting systems from abuse.

Under federal law, only U.S. citizens are permitted to register to vote or cast ballots in federal elections. Prosecutors say the defendants, none of whom were citizens at the time of the alleged conduct, nonetheless registered to vote in New Jersey and falsely certified on official voter registration documents that they were United States citizens.
