But instead of highlighting the current or most recent administration, the post looked back to a previous era, prompting questions about what message party leaders were trying to send.
At the heart of the backlash is a simple but striking detail. The image included former President Barack Obama standing beside the Easter Bunny. The caption read: “Better times at the White House.”
Notably absent from both the image and the caption was Joe Biden.
Critics immediately seized on the omission, arguing that it speaks volumes about how Democrats now view Biden’s presidency. After years of defending him as a capable and effective leader, some say the party appears to be quietly distancing itself from its own standard-bearer.
