Swalwell Scandal About to Go Public?

A political storm may be brewing in California—and it could shake up an already chaotic governor’s race in a major way.

A Democratic activist is now sounding the alarm, claiming that multiple women are preparing to step forward with serious allegations against Rep. Eric Swalwell. If the accusations materialize publicly, they could dramatically alter the trajectory of a high-stakes race that is already drawing intense national attention.

At the center of the unfolding controversy is Cheyenne Hunt, an attorney and former congressional candidate who says she is currently working with several women who intend to come forward. Hunt revealed early Monday that the claims involve a pattern of alleged misconduct that she believes cannot be ignored.

“I got involved because the first victim who approached me is a close friend, but when I saw that there were others who’s experiences fit the same pattern of manipulation and abuse of power, I knew I couldn’t stay silent,” Hunt wrote in a thread on X.
