Chick-fil-A did not rush into this fight.

The Atlanta-based company spent over a year fine-tuning what would become its Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich. Executives tested dozens of variations before settling on a formula that leaned heavily into Southern roots while adding a modern twist.

The result was a carefully layered creation. A signature chicken filet topped with a custom pimento cheese blend, combined with jalapeños and a drizzle of honey, all placed on a toasted bun.
