Jackson’s Opinion Leaves Liberal Justices Speechless

The Supreme Court of the United States delivered a decisive ruling that is already sending shockwaves through the legal and medical communities, and one justice now finds herself standing entirely alone.

In an 8–1 decision, the Court sided with a Christian counselor challenging Colorado’s restriction on so-called “conversion therapy,” concluding that the law crossed a constitutional line. The ruling framed the issue not as healthcare regulation, but as a fundamental free speech question, drawing a bright line against what the majority viewed as viewpoint discrimination.

At the center of the storm is Ketanji Brown Jackson, whose dissent raised alarm in stark and dramatic terms. Yet what truly stands out is not just her warning, but the fact that not a single colleague joined her opinion.

Jackson’s dissent paints a dire picture of what could follow.

“Ultimately, because the majority plays with fire in this case, I fear that the people of this country will get burned,” Jackson wrote in her 34-page solo dissent.

She went even further, suggesting the ruling could destabilize the broader medical system.
