Now, testimony from the Pentagon has revealed a reality that changes the entire conversation. What once sounded like political theater is rapidly becoming a strategic repositioning of American power in the Arctic, and Denmark may have far less control over the situation than many assumed.
During a March 19 hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee, General Gregory Guillot, commander of U.S. Northern Command, made the military’s intentions unmistakably clear.
