Kid Rock’s Epic Clapback Leaves Behar Speechless

Joy Behar has spent nearly three decades on The View telling Americans how to think, but on March 31, she and guest host Whitney Cummings revealed just how out of touch they can be.

The topic of their laughter? A viral video showing U.S. Army Apache helicopters saluting none other than Kid Rock at his sprawling Nashville estate.

During the segment, Behar asked why the helicopters didn’t create more noise to drown out the music, while Cummings dismissed the 55-year-old performer as a man “at war with himself” for still calling himself Kid. Their laughter was loud—but their judgment, shallow.

What Behar and Cummings failed to grasp was the seriousness of the military side of the story. On the same day The View aired its clip, the U.S. Army confirmed it had suspended the flight crew involved and launched a formal AR 15-6 administrative investigation.

Two AH-64 Apache attack helicopters from the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, stationed at Fort Campbell, hovered outside Kid Rock’s 27,000-square-foot estate on March 28. Kid Rock, enjoying a Saturday afternoon beer, stepped outside, saw the helicopters, and returned a salute.
