Walz’s Comments Spark National Outrage

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is facing growing scrutiny after remarks he delivered at a weekend protest sparked sharp reactions, particularly as federal investigators continue to uncover massive fraud schemes tied to programs operating within his state.

Speaking at Saturday’s “No Kings” rally, Walz struck a defiant tone, offering strong praise for Minnesota’s immigrant communities while pushing back against criticism coming from Washington. Addressing the crowd, he made clear where he stands.

“I have a message to our immigrant community here in Minnesota. You are seen, heard, valued, and loved. You add value to our state. You are part of the fabric of what is good about Minnesota, and I have to tell you, that is a hell of a lot more than I’ll say about anybody in the White House,” the former vice presidential candidate told the audience.

Walz didn’t stop there. He went on to single out Minnesota’s Somali population—one of the largest such communities in the United States—for special recognition, doubling down on his message of support even as controversy continues to swirl.
