For years, Democrats and their media allies repeated the same message: Donald Trump was supposedly the most disliked political figure in modern American history.
But a new national poll from NBC News tells a very different story.
The survey asked voters a simple question about favorability toward a range of public figures and institutions. The results delivered an uncomfortable reality for Democrats heading toward the next presidential cycle.
According to the poll, Trump is viewed more positively than several of the Democratic Party’s most prominent figures who are already being discussed as possible 2028 contenders.
And the numbers only get worse the further down the list you go.
Trump Outpaces Democratic Heavyweights
The poll, conducted between February 27 and March 3 among 1,000 registered voters nationwide, measured positive favorability ratings across political leaders and cultural figures.
