“Iran’s Navy is gone, their Air Force is no longer, missiles, drones and everything else are being decimated, and their leaders have been wiped from the face of the earth. We have unparalleled firepower, unlimited ammunition, and plenty of time,” Trump wrote.
The president followed that message with an even more direct warning aimed squarely at Tehran’s ruling class.
“Watch what happens to these deranged scumbags today,” he said.
Trump framed the confrontation with Iran as part of a broader historical struggle against a regime that has been accused for decades of sponsoring terrorism across the globe.
“They’ve been killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years, and now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them. What a great honor it is to do so!” Trump continued.
While the military conflict dominates headlines, Trump also addressed the economic ripple effects that are already being felt across global markets.
Oil prices have been climbing amid fears that Iran could attempt to choke off one of the world’s most critical shipping routes. Tehran has threatened moves that could disrupt the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway through which a significant share of the planet’s oil supply flows.
Trump acknowledged the price surge but pointed out that the United States now sits in a stronger energy position than in past decades.
“The United States is the largest Oil Producer in the World, by far, so when oil prices go up, we make a lot of money,” Trump wrote.
Still, the president made clear that his primary objective is not financial gain but stopping Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
“BUT, of far greater interest and importance to me, as President, is stopping an evil Empire, Iran, from having Nuclear Weapons, and destroying the Middle East and, indeed, the World. I won’t ever let that happen!” Trump wrote.
Meanwhile, the regional battle against Iranian military assets continues to expand.
Saudi Arabia announced Friday that its forces intercepted and destroyed dozens of Iranian drones that were launched toward targets in the region. According to Fox News, Saudi defenses shot down 50 unmanned aerial vehicles.
Israel has also intensified its operations against Iran’s drone and missile networks. Israeli officials say they have delivered major blows to Iran’s ability to deploy unmanned aerial attacks.
“Over 250 UAVs dismantled. Hundreds of launchers neutralized,” Israel Defense Forces international spokesman Nadav Shoshani said Thursday.
The Israeli military also reported precision strikes targeting drone operators moments before launches were carried out.
“The IDF expanded strikes on the Iranian terror regime’s UAV array,” he said.
“In one strike, IAF aircraft identified operatives preparing a UAV launch toward Israel and quickly struck the launcher and the operatives.”
With the United States, Israel, and regional allies increasingly coordinated in their military operations, the pressure on Tehran appears to be building rapidly.
Trump’s warning on Friday suggests that even more dramatic developments could be on the horizon as Washington pushes forward with its strategy to cripple Iran’s military capabilities and prevent the regime from advancing its nuclear ambitions.
If the president’s words are any indication, the next phase of the confrontation may arrive sooner rather than later.
