Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to give a congressional deposition Thursday, stepping into the spotlight as lawmakers ramp up their investigation into the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and the powerful individuals linked to his network.
Following Hillary, former President Bill Clinton is slated to appear Friday, closing months of resistance that had nearly led both Clintons to be held in contempt of Congress.
The bipartisan investigation has united Republicans and Democrats in an unusual show of cooperation, as members seek answers about Epstein’s criminal operations and the elite figures who frequented his circle.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., confirmed plans to make video recordings and transcripts of the depositions available as soon as the Clintons sign off on them.
