Trump’s 100 Nominees: Democrats are LOSING it!

Senate Republicans inched closer to making history on Wednesday, advancing another batch of President Donald Trump’s nominees in a move that could solidify the party’s dominance in federal appointments.

The GOP pushed forward 97 nominees in a strict 53–47 party-line vote, clearing a major procedural hurdle. This sets the stage for a final confirmation vote, likely Thursday, unless Democrats agree to fast-track the process through a time-limiting arrangement.

If the vote proceeds as expected, Republicans will surpass all previous records for confirmations in a president’s first year. This package alone would bring Trump’s total to 415 confirmed nominees during the first year of his second term, outpacing the 323 confirmations he achieved in his first term and exceeding President Joe Biden’s 365 confirmations at the same point.

The surge comes after the Senate altered its rules in September to speed up confirmations, allowing Republicans to overcome Democratic obstruction that had stalled even junior-level appointments during Trump’s first term. Fox noted the rule change specifically enabled the GOP to bypass lengthy filibusters and push nominations forward with a simple majority.
