Meghan McCain is turning heads after openly defending the Super Bowl LX halftime show, going against the wave of conservative outrage that swept social media.
While critics on the right panned Puerto Rican Latin trap star Bad Bunny for his Sunday night performance, McCain made it clear she saw things differently.
In the lead-up to the Super Bowl, many conservatives expressed frustration that Bad Bunny was chosen to headline the halftime show. After the performance, complaints exploded online over the set being “almost entirely in Spanish.” Some went so far as to jokingly suggest that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement should intervene at Levi’s Stadium. Others didn’t even watch, opting instead to stream Turning Point USA’s alternate halftime show, which featured Kid Rock.
McCain took a sharply contrasting stance.
“I’m sorry but I just genuinely question your taste level if you didn’t enjoy the Bad Bunny halftime show,” she tweeted Monday morning on X. “And everything in life doesn’t have to be ruined with politics.”
