A chilling new theory surrounding the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie sent shockwaves through Fox News viewers over the weekend, after a former NYPD inspector suggested the suspected kidnappers may be silent for a devastating reason: they may be unable to prove she is still alive.
The unsettling assessment was delivered during Fox News’ “The Big Weekend Show” by retired NYPD Inspector Paul Mauro, who laid out what he believes is a troubling explanation for the lack of meaningful communication from those claiming to be holding Guthrie.
“Well, you’re elusive on the communications because you know you’re going to be asked for proof of life that you can’t provide,” Mauro said on air.
