For most of 2025, Bernie Sanders toured the country warning Americans about oligarchs, inequality, and the supposed climate emergency. He scolded working families over carbon emissions and demanded sweeping lifestyle changes under the banner of the Green New Deal.
What voters were not told is that Sanders was quietly flying around the country in luxury private jets paid for by campaign donors.
New Federal Election Commission filings reveal that Sanders spent more than $550,000 of campaign money on private jet travel in 2025 alone. That is donor cash burned at rates that would make any billionaire blush.
Luxury Jets on the Donors’ Dime
According to the filings, the Vermont socialist spent at least $354,000 with Ventura Jets. The company operates Bombardier Challenger aircraft, planes marketed for “one of the widest cabins of any business jet available today” and designed for “superior cabin comfort.” These jets can cost as much as $15,000 per hour to operate.
