Video captured by on the ground reporter Becca Brannon shows a dark colored pickup truck slowly approaching the protest area when agitators suddenly surrounded it. Members of the crowd tied pink ribbons or flags to the truck’s windshield wipers before launching objects at the vehicle.
Some protesters smashed the exterior with clubs while others climbed onto the truck. Several individuals were seen throwing sex toys directly at the windshield as the mob shouted and pounded on the vehicle.
As the assault continued, the driver rolled down his window and attempted to reason with the crowd, telling them he supported their cause. At that moment, one voice in the crowd could be heard declaring, “That’s a good guy.”
Despite the realization, objects continued to strike the truck, with video showing dildos still being hurled as the mob struggled to process that they had targeted one of their own.
Only after the driver displayed a protest sign from inside the vehicle did the attackers finally begin to back away.
Broader Violence Engulfs the Area
The vehicle attack was just one flashpoint during a day marked by aggressive confrontations. Protesters chanted slogans including “ICE out now” and “Melt ICE,” rhetoric critics argue fuels hostility toward law enforcement and federal officers.
As tensions grew, law enforcement agencies stepped in to restore order. The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota State Patrol deployed officers in riot gear and issued dispersal orders after declaring the gathering an unlawful assembly.
Videos from the scene show officers advancing on crowds, resulting in physical confrontations and multiple arrests.
According to reporting from the Minnesota Star Tribune, at least 42 agitators were injured during the unrest. Charges reportedly include unlawful assembly, obstruction of justice, and assault related offenses.
Shift in Enforcement After Political Pressure
The crackdown marks a noticeable shift in how Minnesota authorities are handling these protests. For weeks, local and state law enforcement had reportedly been ordered to stand down by state and city leadership, even as demonstrations grew increasingly volatile.
That changed after Minnesota Governor Tim Walz reportedly contacted Donald Trump and agreed to allow stronger enforcement measures.
The renewed cooperation between state agencies and federal authorities signals mounting concern over the growing lawlessness surrounding anti ICE demonstrations.
A Telling Moment for the Radical Left
The bizarre spectacle of protesters violently attacking a vehicle with sex toys before realizing the driver was on their side has quickly gone viral, drawing widespread ridicule and criticism.
For many Americans, the moment served as a revealing snapshot of what happens when emotion overtakes reason and mobs replace accountability.
What was billed as a protest against federal immigration policy instead devolved into confusion, violence, and self inflicted chaos. And for one unlucky protester behind the wheel, it became a painful lesson in how quickly the radical left turns on anyone caught in the crossfire.
