As the 2026 election cycle begins to take shape, Democrats are making one thing unmistakably clear: impeachment is once again at the center of their political strategy. Rather than offering a policy platform focused on border security, public safety, or economic stability, party leaders are openly threatening to remove top Trump administration officials over federal law enforcement actions.
The latest flashpoint stems from violent clashes between radical left-wing agitators and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Minneapolis—clashes that tragically ended in the deaths of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti. Both individuals were involved in ongoing confrontations with federal authorities, part of a broader pattern of increasingly aggressive resistance to immigration enforcement.
According to law enforcement accounts, the circumstances surrounding both deaths were far from peaceful. Good was shot after allegedly attempting to run over a federal agent with her vehicle. Pretti, meanwhile, had a documented history of violent behavior toward ICE agents, including physical assaults and spitting incidents, and was reportedly armed with a firearm during his final confrontation.
Despite these facts, Democratic leadership has moved swiftly to recast the incident as a political weapon.
