Shocking Charges Linked to Don Lemon

Former CNN anchor Don Lemon is now facing serious federal charges after what authorities describe as a coordinated disruption of a Christian church service in Minnesota tied to an anti immigration enforcement protest.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, Don Lemon was charged with federal civil rights violations stemming from a January 18 incident at Cities Church in St. Paul. The case centers on allegations that demonstrators intentionally interfered with the religious freedom of church members during a worship service.

Federal agents arrested Lemon on Thursday in Los Angeles, where he had been covering the Grammy Awards. His attorney confirmed that Lemon was taken into custody and scheduled to appear in court later that day.

Prosecutors say the protest targeted Cities Church because one of its pastors is also a senior official with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The disruption allegedly crossed a legal line when worshipers were prevented from freely exercising their faith.
