Minnesota Police Unleash Chilling New Weapon

Minnesota law enforcement escalated its response to anti ICE unrest this week after protesters pushed demonstrations beyond Minneapolis and into suburban communities.

On Monday night, Minnesota State Patrol troopers deployed a military grade acoustic communication system while confronting a large crowd outside a hotel in Maple Grove. The device is known as a long range acoustic device, commonly called an LRAD, and is frequently associated with military operations and riot control.

Authorities say the crowd formed outside the SpringHill Suites hotel, where demonstrators believed federal immigration agents were staying. Roughly two hundred protesters gathered in the area as tensions remained high following several days of violent demonstrations across the Twin Cities metro.

Troopers issued multiple warnings ordering the group to disperse. When those commands were ignored, officers announced that they would activate the LRAD system to deliver amplified instructions.

Officials confirmed the system was used only for voice communication and not for its high intensity deterrent function, despite online claims suggesting otherwise.
