Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard detonated a political earthquake on Wednesday after publicly releasing newly declassified documents that directly challenge the foundation of the long-running Russiagate narrative. The documents, some of which were hidden from public view for nearly a decade, allege that former President Barack Obama personally oversaw the creation of intelligence assessments designed to undermine Donald Trump before he ever took office.
During a briefing with White House reporters, Gabbard revealed that one of the most significant pieces of evidence was a House Intelligence Committee report that had been sealed inside a CIA vault since the final days of the Obama administration. According to Gabbard, the report contradicts the central claims used to justify years of investigations, media hysteria, and political warfare against President Donald Trump.
Gabbard stated that the intelligence used to push the Russia collusion narrative was not simply flawed or rushed, but knowingly manipulated. The documents show that senior Obama-era officials within the FBI and CIA advanced conclusions they already knew were unsupported by verified intelligence. Despite that, those claims were presented to the American public as settled fact.
