Don Lemon’s Church Protest Turns UGLY

Former CNN personality Don Lemon was taken into federal custody this week in connection with a disruptive incident at a St. Paul church that occurred earlier this month, according to multiple reports confirmed by the Department of Justice.

Lemon, long regarded by conservatives as a partisan activist masquerading as a journalist, was reportedly arrested while attending Grammy Awards coverage on Thursday night. Federal agents took him into custody without incident. Authorities say the charges stem from his actions during a January 18 confrontation inside a church where worship services were underway.

According to officials, Lemon is facing conspiracy against rights charges along with a violation of the federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, commonly known as the FACE Act.

Lemon’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, released a sharply worded statement following the arrest, attempting to shift blame away from his client and onto the Trump administration. The statement read:

“Instead of investigating the federal agents who killed two peaceful Minnesota protesters, the Trump Justice Department is devoting its time, attention and resources to this arrest, and that is the real indictment of wrongdoing in this case.

This unprecedented attack on the First Amendment and transparent attempt to distract attention from the many crises facing this administration will not stand.”
