Trump Drops SCOTUS Hint: Democrats Terrified!

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz found himself in the political spotlight Wednesday night in Washington, D.C., after President Donald Trump cracked a joke that instantly lit up conservative media and social platforms. Speaking at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium while promoting the administration’s new Trump Account initiative, Trump jokingly floated the idea of nominating Cruz to the United States Supreme Court—a remark that caught many, including Cruz himself, off guard.

During his remarks, Trump praised Cruz’s legal credentials, calling him a “brilliant legal mind,” according to reporting from The Daily Mail. The comment set the stage for what followed next—a punchline that only Trump could deliver.

“He’s a brilliant man,” Trump said. “If I nominate him for the United States Supreme Court, I will get 100 percent of the vote. The Democrats will vote for him because they want to get him the hell out, and the Republicans will vote for him because they want to get him the hell out, too.”

The crowd erupted in laughter, clearly enjoying the moment. Cruz, however, was less amused when later asked about the remark during an appearance on the Ruthless Podcast.
