James O’Keefe Trapped as Mob Turns Violent

What unfolded in Minneapolis over the weekend was not a spontaneous protest—it was a coordinated eruption of mob violence aimed squarely at journalists who dared to document the truth.

James O’Keefe and members of the O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) were attacked, threatened, and chased by a large group of left-wing agitators while reporting on a deadly, ICE-related shooting involving federal agents. What should have been a routine act of journalism quickly turned into a dangerous ordeal that O’Keefe says nearly cost him his life.

The chaos began as Department of Homeland Security law enforcement officers carried out a targeted operation in Minneapolis. According to DHS, the operation was focused on apprehending an illegal alien wanted for a violent assault. During the operation, an armed individual approached Border Patrol officers, escalating the situation rapidly.

Federal authorities later identified the individual as 37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretti of South Minneapolis. After advancing on agents while armed, Pretti was fatally shot by a federal officer. Video circulating on social media appears to show Pretti aggressively confronting law enforcement before the shooting occurred.
