Trump’s remarks come as frustration grows among conservatives who expected decisive action following his decisive victory in the 2024 election. Many voters believed the Department of Justice would move swiftly to investigate long-running allegations surrounding the previous administration. Instead, critics say nothing of substance has happened.
That frustration is now squarely aimed at Attorney General Pam Bondi, who has come under increasing fire for what supporters describe as a total lack of high-profile accountability cases. More than 77 million Americans voted for Trump, and many believed that vote would lead to long overdue investigations and arrests tied to Biden-era scandals.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has publicly echoed those concerns. Comer has repeatedly criticized the Justice Department for dragging its feet, particularly regarding the growing autopen controversy. He has suggested that key investigations appear stalled despite mounting evidence.
