A familiar face to Fox News viewers is preparing for a major career shift that underscores the growing competition in cable news. Conservative commentator and political analyst Katie Pavlich is leaving her long-running role at Fox News Channel to anchor a new primetime program at NewsNation, marking a significant win for the Nexstar-owned network.
NewsNation announced Monday that Pavlich will take over the network’s 10 p.m. hour beginning in 2026. The slot was previously hosted by Ashleigh Banfield, who will remain with the network while transitioning to oversee its expanding true crime digital division.
The move signals NewsNation’s aggressive push to strengthen its primetime lineup with recognizable and established conservative voices as it seeks to position itself as an alternative to legacy cable news outlets.
According to the network, Pavlich’s new show will focus heavily on major political and cultural issues shaping the country. Her program will tackle topics including free speech, culture, immigration, national security, and foreign policy. Viewers can also expect heated debates, in-depth interviews, and panel discussions featuring prominent newsmakers from across the political spectrum.
