Former First Lady Melania Trump stepped back into the spotlight this week with a major announcement that signals a powerful new chapter in her public life. On Friday, she revealed that she has officially launched her own production company, Muse Films, and that her upcoming feature documentary has secured a worldwide theatrical release date.
Amazon MGM Studios is behind the film, simply titled “Melania,” with Hollywood veteran Brett Ratner in the director’s chair. The project’s global debut is set for January 30, 2026, and the film will later stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
Melania’s announcement marks a full reintroduction of her public image as she returns to Washington as First Lady and simultaneously steps into the media world as a producer. Not only is she the subject of the film, she also served as an executive producer, giving her meaningful influence over the direction, tone, and final message of the project.
Amazon describes the film as an intimate and unprecedented look at her life during one of the most consequential moments in modern politics. The studio said the feature will pull viewers directly inside her world during the twenty days leading up to President Trump’s inauguration in 2025. The focus is on the pressure, the planning, and the family responsibilities she navigated behind the scenes.
