Ford’s “Signature 2.0” Overhaul Misses the Real Problem

Ford Motor Company just launched what it calls “Ford Signature 2.0,” a sweeping redesign of its dealerships that trades the old-school sales desk for what the company now calls “hospitality hubs.” Staff won’t be salespeople anymore, they’ll be “brand ambassadors.” New buildings will feature soft lighting, glass walls, complimentary lattes, and waiting-room furniture that looks straight out of a tech startup.
