Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Friday night bombshell did what few stories in Washington still can. It cut straight through the political chatter and exposed a truth conservatives have shouted for years. The political class always finds a way to take care of itself.
Greene stunned the country when she announced that she will leave Congress in early 2026. She justified her decision by blasting what she called the “political industrial complex,” a system she says protects itself while grinding down the nation it claims to serve. The Georgia firebrand insisted that after years of fighting with the establishment, she has learned one lesson. Regular Americans are not the ones Washington prioritizes.
Her message was blunt. “Not one elected leader like me is able to stop Washington’s machine from gradually destroying our country.” Greene explained that she had tied her political future to the America First movement, only to watch many inside that movement abandon her after she clashed with Donald Trump over the release of the Epstein files.
