Democrats’ obsession with Donald Trump has reached new heights — and Senator Chuck Schumer just proved it.
After weeks of presiding over the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, Schumer decided to spend his early-morning hours picking a fight over a television interview. That decision backfired in spectacular fashion.
Schumer’s midnight “gotcha” moment gone wrong
Just after 1 a.m. Monday, the New York Democrat took to social media in what he clearly thought was a clever move. Furious over the 60 Minutes broadcast featuring President Trump, Schumer claimed the network had “edited down” Trump’s full 73-minute interview to 27 minutes and hinted he might file a Federal Communications Commission complaint.
“Maybe I should file a complaint with the FCC against the Trump White House for editing his unhinged 60 Minutes interview,” Schumer wrote on X. “It will use the exact same language Trump lodged against Vice President Harris.”
