For decades, the Left has waged war on Christianity’s presence in American public life — rewriting history, scrubbing prayers from schools, and mocking anyone who dared defend the nation’s Christian roots. But Vice President JD Vance just shattered their favorite myth in front of 10,000 college students — and he did it with two words that have progressives in total meltdown.

At his first Turning Point USA appearance since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, Vance stood before a sea of students at Ole Miss. Introduced by Kirk’s widow, Erika, he faced a tough question from a student who claimed the Trump administration was trying to “require Christianity in public schools.”
Vance didn’t flinch. He calmly asked her to name anyone pushing such a policy. When she couldn’t, he gave a brief but devastating history lesson.
“There’s a real liberal idea out there that I think is wrong and that is that liberalism is the source of freedom of religion,” Vance began.
The crowd fell silent — and then came the line that set the Left ablaze.
“If you go back to the original founding documents of the United States of America, if you go back to the Anglo legal tradition well before there was ever a United States of America, what you find is that freedom of religion is actually a Christian concept,” Vance said.
