Democrats Caught Holding Hotel Workers Hostage!

More than 30 hotel industry associations have begged lawmakers to end the standoff, warning that businesses are being strangled by political games. The American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) estimates that the shutdown has already drained $650 million from the industry, with $31 million disappearing daily as Democrats refuse to vote.

“Hotels support 9.2 million American jobs,” AHLA said in its urgent appeal to Congress. Those jobs, it warned, are now on the line as Democrat leaders hold up a solution.

An industry insider told Fox Business that uncertainty is spreading fast, especially among hotels that depend on federal travelers. With bookings frozen, staff hours are being slashed and small-town economies are taking the hit.

Republicans have introduced a clean continuing resolution eleven separate times, offering to fund the government through November 21 and get workers back on the job. Democrats rejected every single one.

Senate Majority Whip John Thune slammed Democrats on the Senate floor:

“The real reason we’re now in the longest full shutdown in history is because Democrats are afraid of backlash from the far-left if they stand down.”
