Sammy Hagar: “This Is What Keeps Me Going!”

Most rockers from the ‘70s have long since disappeared from the stage, but not Sammy Hagar. At 78 years old, the former Van Halen frontman is still packing arenas, releasing albums, and selling out his Las Vegas residency — and now, he’s finally revealed what keeps him going.

“The Fans Rejuvenate You Instantly”

While most performers his age are retired, Hagar told Fox News Digital that his boundless energy comes from the people in the crowd.
“I’ve been so tired before and exhausted on tours and where I didn’t even want to walk out on stage, and then I get out there and the fans, you know, rejuvenate you instantly,” he said.

That connection with his audience is what keeps him alive on stage. Hagar admitted he’s performed while feeling so drained he thought he might collapse, but once the lights hit and the crowd roars, he’s unstoppable.
He said he cares more about making his fans happy “than I care about myself.”

According to Hagar, performing for 18,000 to 20,000 people every night gives him an energy no amount of rest can match. Whether he’s in a stadium or a Vegas ballroom, every crowd feels electric.
