In yet another clash between President Trump and the Democrat establishment, a federal judge has moved to block the Trump Administration’s latest effort to restore law and order in Portland — a city that’s become a symbol of far-left chaos.
Late Saturday, U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut — ironically, a Trump appointee — issued a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) halting the president’s National Guard deployment to Portland. The decision sparked immediate outrage among conservatives who see the ruling as yet another example of judicial overreach standing in the way of national security and public safety.
The Trump Administration wasted no time firing back, filing a midnight appeal in an attempt to overturn the ruling and push forward with efforts to protect federal personnel and property from ongoing left-wing violence.
Judge Immergut went as far as suggesting that President Trump’s order to send in troops could risk a “constitutional crisis.” Her words echoed the rhetoric of Democrat officials who have repeatedly accused Trump of “militarizing” the response to domestic unrest — despite years of unchecked rioting, vandalism, and assaults on law enforcement in cities like Portland.
