Don Lemon’s career was already in freefall after CNN showed him the door last year. But this weekend, the former host managed to hit a new low — targeting grieving Christians at a memorial service for Charlie Kirk, the young conservative leader tragically assassinated on September 10.
Lemon streamed for hours from his living room, wearing a t-shirt with his own name splashed across it, raging over the fact that speakers at Kirk’s memorial quoted scripture and spoke openly about their faith.
“What we saw in that arena was not simply faith finding public expression, it was religious nationalism on full display,” Lemon fumed during his lonely broadcast.
That’s right — he was actually angry that family, friends, and supporters of Kirk leaned on their Christian faith while honoring a 31-year-old husband and father of two who was murdered in cold blood.
