Fox News just learned the hard way what happens when they try to smear President Trump’s new FBI leadership team.

The network thought they could quietly float an anti-Bongino story using anonymous whispers. Instead, they got burned.
Fox Tries a Hit Piece
Dan Bongino, the former Secret Service agent and now Trump’s Deputy FBI Director, has been front and center in helping Director Kash Patel clean up the bureau. Bongino already built a massive audience with his podcast after leaving his weekend Fox News show in 2023. But the network he once worked for decided to take a swing at him anyway.
Fox’s White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich published a story claiming Bongino and Patel were “under fire” inside the Trump administration. The piece leaned on anonymous sources who alleged Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche had “no confidence” in Patel.
