This move signals Trump’s determination to fill his government with unwavering America First loyalists as his second term ramps up.
“Dan Scavino is one of President Trump’s most trusted and longest-serving advisors,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt declared in a statement Tuesday. “There is nobody better to ensure the president’s administration is staffed with the most qualified, competent, and America First-driven workers. There is much still to be done, and Dan’s leadership will ensure the highest quality, most dedicated workforce ever.”
Scavino’s history with Trump stretches back decades. He first crossed paths with the future president as a golf caddie at Trump National Golf Club in New York’s Hudson Valley. From there, he became one of Trump’s most loyal allies, working inside the White House during the president’s first term. Scavino also played a central role managing Trump’s famous social media presence, including his then-Twitter account that shook Washington and drove the news cycle.
