Comer Expands the Net
Barr’s testimony marks the first in what promises to be a series of explosive depositions. According to the Daily Caller, House Oversight Chairman James Comer has subpoenaed six former attorneys general: Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Merrick Garland, Jeff Sessions, Alberto Gonzales, and Barr himself.

The list doesn’t stop there. Comer also issued subpoenas to former FBI Directors James Comey and Robert Mueller, along with former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
“Former Attorneys General Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Merrick Garland, Jeff Sessions and Alberto Gonzales each received letters outlining the focus of the investigation and explaining how their roles might relate to what they knew about the Epstein case,” the report said. “The subpoenas also include former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) directors James Comey and Robert S. Mueller III. Hillary and former President Bill Clinton were also subpoenaed by Comer.”
One committee spokesperson revealed that Mueller’s subpoena will likely be withdrawn due to health complications that “preclude him from being able to testify.”
DOJ Finally Cooperating
Comer also addressed the media shortly before Barr’s deposition, announcing that the Justice Department is beginning to cooperate with the subpoenas. Files tied to Epstein are expected to be handed over to the committee soon, according to Comer.
“We are expecting to receive all the information we requested sometime soon,” Comer said, signaling that this investigation is just heating up.
Will the Clintons Show Up?
Still, questions linger about whether all of the subpoenaed witnesses will actually appear. Skepticism is especially high regarding former President Bill Clinton, whose close ties to Epstein are well-documented. Many observers believe he will try to shield himself by claiming executive privilege.
Doubts also surround Hillary Clinton, who twice failed in her quest for the White House. Commentators speculate she has little incentive to testify voluntarily. On the other hand, the other subpoenaed figures are expected to cooperate.
The Bigger Picture
Barr’s testimony not only clears Trump of baseless insinuations but also raises larger questions about why certain political figures were so eager to connect him to Epstein in the first place. For years, left-wing pundits spun theories that Trump had some hidden involvement, despite the fact that Trump expelled Epstein from Mar-a-Lago decades ago.
Now, with subpoenas flying and testimony stacking up, it looks as if Comer’s probe may finally shine light on what the DOJ and FBI knew — and what they didn’t do — when it came to Epstein.
The stakes are massive. If evidence surfaces implicating others while simultaneously vindicating Trump, this could reshape the entire narrative Democrats and the media have pushed for years.
For now, Bill Barr has made one thing clear: Trump was never part of the Epstein scandal.
