Tensions in the Middle East exploded after Israel launched an unprecedented offensive against Iran’s nuclear and military facilities. But it was Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s carefully worded response that sent shockwaves across Washington and raised serious questions about America’s real role—and how far the White House is willing to go to protect U.S. interests.
In the early hours of Friday morning, Israel shocked the world by unleashing a massive air assault on Iranian territory. According to reports, over 200 Israeli fighter jets pounded targets in multiple coordinated waves, aiming at nuclear and military installations—including the heavily fortified Natanz enrichment facility.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu officially declared “Operation Rising Lion” underway, stating that the campaign would last “for as many days as it takes to remove this threat” from Iran’s nuclear arsenal.
