The Left has spent years pushing their electric vehicle obsession, trying to force working Americans off the road unless they buy into overpriced eco-mobiles. But now, a surprising piece of legislation out of Oregon is handing them a dose of reality—and freedom-loving Americans are loving it.

In an unexpected twist, an Oregon Democrat has introduced a bill that could bring back real options for the average American driver. Senate Bill 1213, championed by Democrat State Senator Anthony Broadman, aims to legalize Japanese Kei trucks on public roads. And whether he meant to or not, Broadman just hit a nerve with the climate-control crowd.
“Small businesses, farmers, and Oregonians across our state are asking for practical, cost-effective transportation options,” Broadman explained. “Kei trucks are nimble, fuel-efficient, and ideal for navigating rural roads, job sites and tight urban corridors.”
Yes, you read that right—a Democrat pushing for compact, gas-powered, work-ready mini trucks that don’t cost $60,000. And to make the establishment squirm even more, the bill is backed by both sides of the aisle.
