“The U.S. had nothing to do with the attack on Iran, tonight,” Trump stated — echoing Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who said the recent strikes were solely carried out by Israel. Rubio also reaffirmed that the U.S. will only respond militarily if it is directly targeted. Trump reiterated that in his post as well.

“If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before,” the president warned. “However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!”
The commander-in-chief doubled down Sunday morning with another Truth Social message, this time focusing on peace — and the power of American diplomacy.
“Iran and Israel should make a deal, and will make a deal, just like I got India and Pakistan to make, in that case by using TRADE with the United States to bring reason, cohesion, and sanity into the talks with two excellent leaders who were able to quickly make a decision and STOP!” he posted.
Trump then listed a series of foreign policy wins from his first term, crediting his administration’s efforts for keeping global hotspots calm — including breakthroughs in the Serbia-Kosovo feud and Egypt-Ethiopia tensions.
“There is peace, at least for now, because of my intervention, and it will stay that way! Likewise, we will have PEACE, soon, between Israel and Iran!” Trump added. “Many calls and meetings now taking place. I do a lot, and never get credit for anything, but that’s OK, the PEOPLE understand. MAKE THE MIDDLE EAST GREAT AGAIN!”
His calls for diplomacy come as the violence escalates. Over the weekend, Israeli forces expanded their air campaign inside Iran, targeting nuclear, military, and infrastructure locations. In response, Tehran launched a new wave of missiles and drones — marking the fifth major strike in under 48 hours.
Saturday’s exchange proved to be the deadliest yet for Israel. Multiple civilians were killed after Iranian missiles struck a residential building in central Israel. Rescue teams are still combing through the rubble, with at least 33 people missing as of Sunday afternoon.
Despite the rising death toll, Israeli officials insist this conflict will be long and brutal. “Weeks, not days,” one military source told CNN, describing the expected duration of their campaign. And the Trump Administration, according to insiders, has not pushed back on the Israeli timetable in private meetings.
An unnamed Israeli source told CNN the U.S. is on board with the current strategy and has “not critiqued” Israel’s moves behind closed doors.
While the Biden-era media clamors for chaos, Trump continues to position himself as a dealmaker and peacemaker — calling for calm, warning enemies, and rejecting yet another endless war in the Middle East.
The former president’s message is simple: America doesn’t need more war. It needs smart leadership, strong deterrence, and the courage to say no — even when allies come calling for missiles.
