Hegseth to China: “Not One Inch!”

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

He emphasized a cooperative approach that respects each nation’s sovereignty — and made it clear that American foreign policy will no longer be dictated by woke ideology or soft-handed diplomacy.

As President Trump continues to motivate NATO countries to take responsibility for their own defense, Hegseth pointed out this frees up U.S. forces to concentrate where the real battle for influence is heating up — the Indo-Pacific.

“This enables all of us to benefit from the peace and stability that comes with a lasting and strong American presence here in the Indo-Pacific,” he explained.

“These benefits, they only multiply when our allies and partners are also strong.”

This is a clear indicator that the U.S. is preparing to realign its military focus, not to fight unnecessary wars, but to ensure a forceful deterrent remains in place.

Hegseth also torched the failed foreign policy of past administrations that sought to spread ideology instead of strength.

“We are not here to pressure other countries to embrace and adopt our politics or ideology; we are not here to preach to you about climate change or cultural issues… We are all sovereign nations.”

That bold declaration could not be further removed from the diplomatic blunders of the Biden years. No more virtue-signaling. No more rainbow flags on embassies. Just focused, results-driven cooperation built on shared interests.

Hegseth didn’t mince words when it came to the Chinese Communist Party. He drew a hard line, warning that the U.S. won’t back down or allow our allies to be threatened or dominated.

“We do not seek conflict with communist China. … But we will not be pushed out of this critical region and we will not let our allies and partners be subordinated and intimidated.”

And if Beijing dares make a move on Taiwan?

“Devastating consequences,” he warned.

Though peace remains the ultimate goal, Hegseth made it clear that the United States is fully prepared to defend its interests — and win.

“If deterrence fails — and if called upon by [the] commander in chief — we are prepared to do what the Department of Defense does best: to fight and win, decisively.”

This isn’t just a threat — it’s a promise. America will not surrender its strategic ground in the Indo-Pacific, no matter how loud China screams.

As expected, the Chinese Communist regime flew into a rage. In a statement filled with projection and propaganda, Beijing accused the U.S. of stoking tensions and called Hegseth’s remarks “defamatory” and “provocative.”

“Hegseth deliberately ignored the call for peace and development by countries in the region, and instead touted the Cold War mentality… China deplores and firmly opposes them and has protested strongly to the U.S.”

China then played its favorite card — blaming the U.S. for everything, while conveniently ignoring its own militarization of the South China Sea and nonstop threats against Taiwan.

“No country in the world deserves to be called a hegemonic power other than the U.S. itself…”

Hegseth’s speech sent a loud and clear message: America is no longer going to appease tyrants or whisper sweet nothings to regimes that threaten freedom. The Trump-era doctrine of peace through strength is back — and it’s not taking a knee to global bullies.

While the Biden administration spent years alienating allies and emboldening enemies, Hegseth’s forceful presence at the Shangri-La Dialogue is a powerful sign of what’s coming next.

America is leading again — and this time, it means business.
