70 Years: No Congress Failed Worse Than This GOP One

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Punchbowl News added fuel to the fire, reporting that Trump has “actually signed fewer bills into law at this point than any new president for seven decades.”

Meanwhile, President Trump has been forced to take matters into his own hands, signing a whopping 124 executive orders to get things moving.

For some perspective:

By this stage in 2017, President Trump had already signed 24 bills into law.

Joe Biden, in his early 2021 term, managed just seven bills.

Barack Obama had put his name to 11 bills by now in 2009.

George W. Bush signed seven bills in 2001.

Bill Clinton approved 21 bills in 1993.

George H.W. Bush had inked 13 by 1989.

Ronald Reagan put nine laws on the books in 1981.

Jimmy Carter got 19 bills signed by this point in 1977.

Richard Nixon signed eight in 1969.

John F. Kennedy and Dwight Eisenhower both managed 20 bills by this point in their first years.

The numbers don’t lie. This Congress is on pace to be the least productive in modern American history.

And it’s not because President Trump isn’t fighting. It’s because too many Republicans in Congress have gotten comfortable doing absolutely nothing while America demands action.

Make no mistake — if Republicans lose the House in 2026, the blame won’t lie with President Trump. It will be squarely on the shoulders of the feckless, do-nothing GOP establishment that voters simply cannot trust anymore.

Americans gave Republicans every tool they needed to unleash real, sweeping reforms. Instead, the GOP leadership is asleep at the wheel.

The base is watching. The grassroots are furious. And patience is running out.

The clock is ticking, and if this Congress continues its historic failure, it will be their political careers — not Trump’s movement — that face extinction.

Enough is enough.
