The American people were dealt another disturbing reminder of the deep rot infecting our institutions when it emerged that the son of a top Biden administration official died fighting on behalf of Russia in Ukraine.
Michael Alexander Gloss, 21, the son of Juliane Gallina Gloss — Biden’s handpicked CIA Deputy Director for Digital Innovation — was reportedly killed while serving with Russian forces on the frontlines. According to a report by the New York Post and a bombshell investigation by Russian outlet iStories, Gloss abandoned his American upbringing to enlist in the Russian military.

As the iStories investigation revealed, “Michael Gloss is one of more than 1,500 foreigners who passed through the Russian military recruitment center during the war in Ukraine, whose identities were established by iStories. In total, mercenaries from 48 countries — including EU states and the U.S. — are fighting on Russia’s side.”
The Gloss family issued a somber announcement following Michael’s death, describing him as a “noble heart” with a “warrior spirit,” saying, “Michael was born in a rush, on a snowy evening, on December 4, 2002 and lived a brief, but fiercely beautiful life until he was taken from us during his travels overseas.”
